Overview:
At Critter Cafe, we pride ourselves on offering only the best nutrition for your reptilian companions, and our hornworms are no exception. These vibrant green worms not only provide a delicious meal but are also packed with nutrients that help ensure your pet’s health and vitality.
Nutritional Benefits:
Hornworms are loved for their high moisture content, making them an excellent choice for hydration and nutritional support. Compared to other feeder insects like mealworms or superworms, hornworms offer:
- High Moisture Content: Perfect for reptiles that don’t drink much water, helping to keep them hydrated.
- Low Fat: A leaner option that won’t add unnecessary weight to your pet.
- Soft-bodied: Making them easier to digest, especially for young or sick reptiles.
- High Calcium Content: Supporting bone health and reducing the risk of metabolic bone disease.
These features make hornworms a fantastic occasional treat that adds variety and balance to your reptile’s diet.
Available Sizes:
We offer hornworms in different sizes to suit the needs of various reptiles:
- Small (ideal for younger reptiles or smaller species)
- Large (suitable for larger, adult reptiles)

Care Instructions
Hornworm sizing
Keep hornworms in their original container, designed for climbing and equipped with a nutritious diet. Store the container upside down to facilitate climbing and waste management. Remove feces from bottom of container daily as they may try to ingest which will cause death if not corrected.
Maintain hornworms at room temperature or refrigerate them to slow their metabolism and extend shelf life. Hornworms come with a specialized diet included in their packaging that also provides them with hydration. Handle hornworms gently with clean hands or soft tweezers to prevent stress or injury. Regularly check hornworms for signs of illness, dehydration, or abnormalities, removing any unhealthy individuals promptly. Dust hornworms with reptile supplements before feeding them to ensure nutritional balance.
